Joe from Pete’s RV just attempting to start another blog with you.  Have you made your 2009 reservations for the up coming camping season, I know that my family and the group we camp with have already made reservations for the upcoming season.  I know from experience that the resort type campgrounds in the Northeast fill up fast, and reservations need to be made well in advance to ensure the site that you prefer.

If any of you have favorite destinations that you would like to share with us please do.  With fuel prices at 4 year low (keeping my fingers crossed it stays this way for a while) it should make camping trips more affordable.

President Obama recently signed off on a new stimulus package that will give RVers a tax break.

The provision allows buyers of new motorhomes to be able to deduct a portion of their sales tax on their federal income tax returns.  The tax paid on the first $49,500 will be eligible for deduction.  To qualify, persons filing individual tax returns must have an adjusted gross income under $125,001 while joint filers must be under $250,001.

The tax break is estimated to save RVers an estimated $1.7 billion over 10 years.
