Hundreds of folks were rescued from just another “blah” weekend when they visited Pete’s RV 2/19 - 2/21.  Some as far as CT and southern NY trekked up to visit us!

Guests were treated to a look at more than 200 RVs, dealership tours, store specials and free refreshments.  Many guests also took advantage of the “No Sale” Sale Weekend and became owners of a new or pre-owned RV.

The Cougar X-Lite and Passport Ultra-Lite series received lots of attention along with the always popular Montana Fifth Wheel.  The wish list model of the weekend goes to the Raptor 3812S Toy Hauler.  Inside and out, it is very slick!

The Pete’s RV Team thanks everybody for coming to visit and congratulates all the new RV owners.  Happy camping!

Pete’s RV Lifestyle Consultant Rick Campbell recently visited the 48th Annual Camping and RV Show at the Eastern Sports Exposition in West Springfield, MA 2/12 - 2/15.

There were more than 200 exhibitors and according to Rick the floor was buzzing all four days.  This is continued great news for the RV and camping industry which is showing very positive sales activity thus far in 2010.

Rick further reported that attendee interest was, “Bunkhouses, bunkhouses, and bunkhouses!”  Keystone RV products such as the Springdale 298BH and Cougar 298BHS received lots of inquiries.

Along with continued use of Google AdWords and Google Analytics, Pete’s RV Center added several more Google business and marketing tools in 2010 to further improve internal communications and online marketing activities.

Internally, the Pete’s RV sales team is now outfitted with Google Calendar, Docs and Reader.  All of which are accessible via their iGoogle homepages.

Phil LeClair, who was hired in January and serves as the company’s Internet Marketing Manager, introduced the concept, and it was quickly grasped by the Pete’s RV team.

Says LeClair, “We’re more traditional and still prefer the personalized touch of a face-to-face appointment or phone call, but as with any growing business, we need to ensure we are handling these tasks in an efficient and timely manner.  I’ve long been a proponent of Google Apps, so I jumped at the chance to introduce them to the Pete’s RV team.  It’s been a fairly easy sell to get everybody on board and I am psyched to see the team actively posting events and sharing documents via their Google Calendar and Docs accounts.”

Coming from online marketing agency and Google Analytics Authorized Consultant, EpikOne in Burlington, VT, LeClair is no stranger to Google Analytics and AdWords.  LeClair added, “It was extremely nice to come into Pete’s RV with Google Analytics and AdWords experience.  We carry several brands and models of RVs and campers, so you can imagine the number of ad groups and keywords we carry for our paid search program.  Along with Google Analytics and AdWords, Google Insights and Trends are also instrumental in helping me effectively manage, monitor and report our website activity, performance and keyword trending.”
