Pete’s RV Embraces Google Business and Marketing Tools

Along with continued use of Google AdWords and Google Analytics, Pete’s RV Center added several more Google business and marketing tools in 2010 to further improve internal communications and online marketing activities.
Internally, the Pete’s RV sales team is now outfitted with Google Calendar, Docs and Reader. All of which are accessible via their iGoogle homepages.
Phil LeClair, who was hired in January and serves as the company’s Internet Marketing Manager, introduced the concept, and it was quickly grasped by the Pete’s RV team.
Says LeClair, “We’re more traditional and still prefer the personalized touch of a face-to-face appointment or phone call, but as with any growing business, we need to ensure we are handling these tasks in an efficient and timely manner. I’ve long been a proponent of Google Apps, so I jumped at the chance to introduce them to the Pete’s RV team. It’s been a fairly easy sell to get everybody on board and I am psyched to see the team actively posting events and sharing documents via their Google Calendar and Docs accounts.”
Coming from online marketing agency and Google Analytics Authorized Consultant, EpikOne in Burlington, VT, LeClair is no stranger to Google Analytics and AdWords. LeClair added, “It was extremely nice to come into Pete’s RV with Google Analytics and AdWords experience. We carry several brands and models of RVs and campers, so you can imagine the number of ad groups and keywords we carry for our paid search program. Along with Google Analytics and AdWords, Google Insights and Trends are also instrumental in helping me effectively manage, monitor and report our website activity, performance and keyword trending.”
