Packing for an RV trip can be challenging, but with a little planning, it can be a breeze. Here are a few tips to help you get started.
Identify the Essentials
Start by making a list of what you’ll need for your trip. Make sure to include items like food, clothing, bedding, toiletries, and any prescription medications needed by any of the campers. By making a list, you won’t need to worry about forgetting something.
It can also help to make a packing list for each individual camper, especially if you have children. This will ensure that everyone has what they need and that nothing gets left behind.
Choose RV-Friendly Foods
There is only so much space in an RV kitchen! Make the most of it by utilizing all of the available storage options.
For example:
- Pack cabinets full of non-perishable foods like canned goods.
- Bring fresh fruit and vegetables that don’t require refrigeration, like apples and bananas.
- If you need more space than your refrigerator offers, you can always bring along extra coolers with ice.
Pack Light
While it’s important to bring everything you need, remember that space is limited in an RV. Try to pack only the essentials and leave anything unnecessary at home. If you do end up needing a given item, you will likely be able to buy it at the campground store or a nearby grocery store.
