Staying Warm While RVing in Winter

It’s possible to be comfortable while RVing in the winter. Use the following tips to stay warm even when the weather is cold!

1. Add Rugs or Carpet to Your RV

Adding rugs or carpets is one way to make your RV feel cozier in the winter. This will help insulate your RV and make it warmer inside. You can find rugs specifically made for campers or get a generic rug. It’ll offer extra warmth and can add to the interior design of the room as well!

2. Get Electric Blankets for the Bedrooms

Electric blankets are a great way to stay warm in the winter. They can be added to your regular bedding and will help you sleep comfortably, even on the coldest nights.

3. Dress in Layers

A simple strategy is to simply wear more clothing. Layers can keep you warmer than having one large sweater or jacket. Some good clothing options for layering include long underwear and thick socks.

By dressing in layers, you can also easily remove them if the weather starts to warm up.

4. Insulate Windows and Doors

Make sure to insulate your RV’s windows and doors to help keep the heat in. You even can find special RV window insulation kits that will make this task easy.
